Utah First Receives Second Raddon Award for Performance

For the second time in two years, Utah First Federal Credit Union earned recognition as one of the top ten credit unions in the country by the Raddon Financial Group. The Crystal Performance Award identifies credit unions that show outstanding performance across several criteria.

Each year, Raddon Financial Group evaluates the growth, income, efficiency, and margin management of more than 500 institutions throughout the United States. Credit unions submit to an in-depth analysis of their financials, sales, products, and member household relationships. Those rising to the top 2 to 3 percent for two consecutive reporting periods are presented with the Crystal Performance Award.

“The Crystal Performance Award is a rare honor in our industry,” remarked Utah First President/CEO Darin B. Moody. “To receive this recognition twice validates the philosophy of our organization and is a tribute to the Utah First team.”

Moody credits the continued success of Utah First to its long-standing and dedicated relationships with its members. “Because we make it a point to connect with our members and communicate openly about their needs, we have a very strong portfolio and high level of loyalty.” Moody cites the trust members have in the organization’s history and reputation; Utah First has operated in Utah for more than 80 years. “We may not be the largest shop in town, but we offer the same services, clearly in a way that is successful. Because we are member owned, we feel a tremendous responsibility to answer their needs and show accountability for our actions.”

Utah First is among the top ten credit unions nationwide to be presented with the 2016 Crystal Performance Award. It is the only Utah-based credit union to receive the award twice, and no other local credit union has been recognized by Raddon since the economic recession.
