At Utah First, we believe in doing more than banking — we believe in backing people. And that means supporting creativity, connection, and community in every form.
That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the Utah First Music Scholarship — a brand-new program created to celebrate the power of music to bring people together and make a positive impact in our communities.
Through this scholarship, Utah First Credit Union will award up to $30,000 in scholarships to talented Utah students who are passionate about music and performance.
One standout performer will receive a full-ride scholarship ($20,000) to Southern Utah University (SUU) and will have the incredible opportunity to perform live at next year’s One Utah Summit
The runner-up will earn a two-year ($10,000) scholarship to SUU
It’s our way of helping Utah’s next generation of musicians find their stage — literally and figuratively.
From the Utah First Amphitheatre, where thousands of Utahns gather each summer to make memories at live shows, to local artists and events across the state, Utah First has a front-row seat to the power of music.

We’re proud to partner with Southern Utah University, home to one of the most vibrant music programs in the state — and soon, a brand-new, state-of-the-art music building that will give students an inspiring space to learn and create.
Together, Utah First and SUU are helping open new doors for Utah’s emerging musicians to grow their talents, share their voices, and take their music to the next level.
Applications for the Utah First Music Scholarship will open soon — and the process will include an exciting social media talent contest where Utah students (ages 16 and older) can showcase their live performance skills. Each submission will be reviewed by a panel of judges, and finalists will move forward for public voting and scholarship selection.
Whether you sing, play, or perform, this is your moment to shine — and maybe even earn a college education while doing it.
We’ve also created a media kit for schools, community organizations, and businesses that want to help us share the opportunity. The kit includes official logos, social media graphics, posters, and flyers to make spreading the word easy.
