A lot went down in 1935. Monopoly hit store shelves. Elvis was born. The first canned beer was cracked open. And—drumroll, please—Utah First Credit Union was founded. 🎉
We’ve been around since the days of swing music and 5¢ sodas, and while a lot has changed since then, one thing hasn’t: we’re still all about helping our community thrive. Back then, a group of German immigrants in Salt Lake City couldn’t get approved for loans to bring their families to the U.S. So, they created their own credit union with just 23 shares and $115 between them. They said “yes” when nobody else would—and 90 years later, we’re still doing the same.
